    • How do I report a lost or stolen debit or credit card? To report a lost or stolen debit or credit card, please call 1-800-234-5354 anytime 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
    • How long does it take to get approved for a loan? Usually you hear back from a loan officer within 2 business days.
    • What’s the best way to start a loan application? Our secure online loan applications are a great way to get your loan started!  You can also stop in to apply if that’s more convenient.

    • What is the minimum credit score for a Home Loan?  640

    • Can I share Village membership with my family?  Yes!  We serve anyone who lives or works in the following Iowa counties: Polk, Dallas, Boone, Story, Jasper, Marion, Warren or Madison. We can also serve the family members of anyone who lives or works in those counties.
    • Do I get a debit card with my savings account? No. Debit cards are only offered with checking accounts, however our checking accounts are free, and can be opened in-person or possibly by phone or online. Call us for details!

      You can be a member of Village Credit Union if you live or work in the Iowa counties of Polk, Dallas, Boone, Story, Jasper, Marion, Warren or Madison, or if you are the family member of a person who lives or works in one of these eight counties.       If you’re referring to a loan payment, yes, you can. Just be sure to write on the check (or include a note with the check) that tells us what the payment is for. Include the name on the account, the member number and the loan number. However, if your payment is due within the next 48 business hours, please stop in with your payment as we cannot guarantee delivery of postal mail.

    Can I get a new loan status on line? Or do I need to come in or call?

      If your loan has been approved, it should appear in Online Banking (Virtual Branch). If your loan is still being processed, you will need to call or stop in to determine the status. Thank you!

    Does the Credit Union have the app to allow deposits with a smart phone?

      Unfortunately, we don’t have that app. However, you can always deposit your check via an ATM that accepts deposits, and if you use a Privileged Status ATM, you will not incur a fee from the ATM’s owner. You can locate Privileged Status ATMs near you here: https://www.shazam.net/

      We assume you’re referring to online banking, but let us know if not. On the first login page of Virtual Branch (https://www.financial-net.com/villagecu/), click on “Forgot Security Code?” and it will walk you through how to retrieve or reset your password. If you’re still unable to login, please call us at 515-243-4400.

    can I look at my master card account to see if money was return to my acc0unt after an item was return to the company I brought it from?

      Absolutely! Our “MyCardInfo” service lets you login to your credit card account, see your transactions, set all types of alerts, and even make a payment to your card!
